FAQs

Frequently Asked QuestionS

Are the poles and Cavalletti treated?

Yes, the poles are H4 treated and the stand or ends of the Cavalletti are H5 treated.

What paint do you use?

We use Resene quick dry under coat and two coats of Resene Lustacryl paint.

Can I store my Cowan Cavalletti outside?

Yes, they are made for outside. The lighter colours often last longer as they don’t attract the harsh NZ sun as much.

Do the Cowan Cavalletti roll if a horse hits then when jumping?

No, their shape means they can’t roll. They can fall over, but will not roll.

Are the raised trot poles, (the Mini & Skinny Mini) balancing on the wooden stand?

No, the stand has a coach screw connecting the stand to the especially checked out pole. This means they that they are easier to set up and realign if the horse knocks them.

Can the Jump Cavalletti be placed on its side to jump out trot over?

No, the Jump Cavalletti can’t be placed on its side. Upright is its only setting.

What Cavalletti do you sell that can be stacked?

Our Versatile and the Jump Cavalletti are both stackable.

What do you recommend for someone just starting out jumping?
The Versatile Cowan Cavalletti set is ideal as you can start going over the very low Cavalletti on its side, to upright, then add a pole, then stack another Versatile.

Do I need to pay the standard freight fee when I’m only wanting to buy a couple of items?

No, you can email me with what you want, and I will get a price from the freight company.

Can I really buy as much as I want and only pay the standard freight fee?

Yes, even though the freight company may be charging us more.

Why have freight charges have increased in price?

The conflict in the Middle East is affecting the cost of moving items around the country.

How much is the freight?
For items to be sent to our depots around the country:  North Island customers $175, South Island $245. Delivery is direct to Auckland addresses at North Island rate.
